Death by Chocolate Cookies

Death by Chocolate Cookies

1 bag chocolate chips or 2 chocolate bars (parve)
¾ cup brown sugar,                               ¼ cup margarine (50 gm)
2 eggs                                                    1 tsp vanilla
½ cup flour                                            ¼ tsp baking powder
optional: 1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 175°.
Melt margarine in a small pot, over a low flame. Add half the chocolate, melt.
Combine sugar, eggs and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Add the margarine/chocolate mixture. Stir well.
Mix in flour and baking powder. Add the rest of the chocolate, and nuts.
Refrigerate batter for ½ hour.
Drop by tablespoon-fuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet (may use baking paper).  Bake for 12 – 13 minutes (they will look puffed, and ‘set’).

Cool for 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.
