Desserts

I haven't found any amazing dough recipes, although I have tasted some, so I just use the same basic dough every year... if you find one you love, ask for the recipe and share it with me, please!

My favorite fillings:

Mixed Dried Fruits Filling
20 oz (@600 gm) pitted prunes
12 oz (@360 gm) dried apricots
6 oz (@180 gm) dried peaches (sometimes I just use more apricots and skip the peaches)
10 oz (@300 gm) raisins
1 orange, peeled
1 apple
6 oz (@180 gm) apricot jam
1 dash lemon juice

Chop everything in the food processor.
If the dried fruits are too hard, soak in hot water and then squeeze extra liquid out before adding to the mix.

Chocolate Brownie Filling
5 oz (@150 gm) semisweet chocolate
3 oz (@90 gm) unsweetened chocolate
6 Tbsp margarine
2/3 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c chocolate chips

Melt margarine and chocolate. Stir in everything else

Any extra filling can be made into chocolate brownie drop cookies

Chocolate-Raspberry Hamentashen
Add some cocoa and liquid to your dough, and fill with raspberry jam (good quality)

This year I'm going to try folding the corners over instead of pinching them - this year's Purim trend, gotta stay with it.
